AI Disclosure
Where artificial intelligence (AI) tools play a part in this website and the way Lafayette Mold Experts works, and the places where they play no part at all.

Why this page exists
You are entitled to know when AI has a hand in what you read or in the service you use. This page names both the kinds of AI involved and the kinds of systems behind them, so you can decide for yourself.
Website text and large language models
Parts of the written content here, including service pages, price ranges, FAQ answers, summaries of Louisiana rules and descriptions of how jobs run, are drafted with help from large language models (LLMs). An LLM is an AI system that writes by predicting the next word from what came before; Claude from Anthropic, GPT from OpenAI and Gemini from Google are examples. The model or provider can change as tools change.
A person reviews every LLM-drafted passage before it is published. The models help with drafting and research; they do not have the last word on any page, and they never see your personal information.
Pictures made with generative AI
The pictures on this site are illustrations made or edited with generative image tools, such as Google's Gemini image models. They show the kind of place or problem a page talks about, not a particular job at a particular address. If you need photographs of the work done at a specific property, ask the firm that did that work.
Phone calls are answered by an AI voice assistant
Calls to (337) 294-0039 are answered by an AI voice assistant, not by a person. It is a computer system run through an outside voice-AI provider. It asks for your name, your number, the property address and what is wrong, so a call back can follow, and the call may be recorded and transcribed for that purpose. If you would rather not speak to an automated system, use the callback form on any page or email the address below instead.
Where AI is not used
- Findings at the property. Moisture readings, thermal images, what is seen on site and any lab sampling are the work of the people at the property. Under Louisiana law the firm that assesses mold is separate from the firm that removes it (La. R.S. 37:2158(A)(23)).
- Written scopes and prices. These are written by the people who saw the property. No AI sets a price.
- Insurance paperwork. Reports for an adjuster are prepared by people, from what was found at the property.
- Hidden automated decisions. No AI decides whether you are served, what you pay or when the work is done.
Why we say this without being asked
Federal and state consumer-protection rules increasingly expect businesses to disclose AI use, and the Federal Trade Commission has said that hiding material AI use can be a deceptive practice. Rather than argue about the minimum, this page discloses widely and in detail. If you find a page or exchange here where AI played a part and it is not disclosed, email contact@lafayettemoldexperts.com and this page will be updated.
Reaching a person, and reporting a mistake
To reach a person, email contact@lafayettemoldexperts.com, or leave your details with the voice assistant or the callback form and ask for a call back. If something on the site is wrong, or reads as AI-written in a way that could mislead, tell us at the same address; confirmed errors are corrected and the feedback is welcome.
